Apollo 10 hand-held Hasselblad picture of Earth taken from 185,000 km on the
way to the Moon on 18 May 1969. North Africa can be clearly seen at center,
with southern Africa at the bottom and Saudi Arabia to the right. Much of Europe
can be identified towards the top of the disk, including Portugal, Italy, and
Greece. Turkey and parts of the Middle East are also visible. Earth is 12,740
